A Great quote....
"I am always doing what I cannot do yet, in order to learn how to do it". .”
My name is Karina Bradbury. I am an artist, teacher, mother and so many other things. But Ive travelled a long way to get to where I am today. I have painted in tiny market stalls in Bangkok, on an Island making coffees by day and painting by night, I studied Fine Arts through TAFE and was mentored by great teachers.
Since studying Art Therapy my mind became opened, as I learnt how beautiful form of expression and a powerful tool in emotional healing.
This experience shaped me and put me on my path. I explored the concept off true expression and finding that innocent wonder in art making.
Then my daughter was born and I watched her explore the world through her fresh eyes. I saw how she showed no limitation when making her art. A palette of paint and a canvas and brush lead to her painting her whole body. I watched her and realised this is what free expression is.
I hold an Advanced Diploma of Art Therapy through the Phoenix Institute, as well as practising in therapeutic services over the past 8 years. Hosting a variety of creative expression classes with teens, children and adults alike as well as working one on one with individuals experiencing anxiety and depression.
I have an expansive background working with special needs and clients with a trauma background. Her approach is gentle and trust based.
I work deeply with clients to ensure a safe space to express themselves and allow for every feeling to be validated.
My ambition is to bring creativity into people's lives as a healthy way to express all emotions as well as a way to find joy and connect to your deep inner world in your own unique way.
Children will have the opportunities to try a wide variety of creative mediums to find what works for them and build skills in self expression and emotional intelligence.
